Synopsis

After falling down the stairs and being seriously injured, Serena Ashik suddenly remembers that this world is actually inside a book—and that she herself is only a supporting character who is used as a pawn and dies miserably.

She refuses to die like that!
To find a way to survive, she makes a bold choice.

Propose to the “Grim Reaper of the Battlefield.”

“Your Highness, if you have time, would you consider marrying me?”

“My lady, I believe my hearing must be failing.”

It was a clear rejection.

“Your Highness, have you decided to marry me today?”

“My lady, you still haven’t given up?”

“Of course not. Don’t ask such obvious questions.”

Serena picked up a simple ring with a blue crystal shining beautifully in the center.

“Your Highness, as I told you before—I have absolutely no intention of giving up.”

“But my lady, I cannot accept the proposal you made.”

Quietly listening to Diego’s refusal, Serena naturally took his left hand and pushed the ring onto his ring finger.

It couldn’t go all the way in because of his thick knuckle, leaving it stuck awkwardly in the middle. Still, it sparkled beautifully—just like Diego’s eyes.

Rubbing the ring she had placed on his finger with her thumb, Serena spoke again.

“Your Highness, please become my husband.”
