Chapter 1
Eun Ji-an’s father, Eun Pil-beom, was what you’d call a textbook doting dad.
Except now, add bulging muscles and a rough-and-tumble Gyeongsang-do macho temperament to the mix.
“You little bastard!”
He grabbed his son-in-law, Cha Yu-geon, by the collar and yanked him forward.
“So what I heard is true? You really asked Ji-an if she’d try getting knocked up with you first—back when you were just on a blind date?”
The reason Pil-beom was convinced was simple: just moments earlier, both Yu-geon and Ji-an had gone utterly speechless at those words.
Which meant the rumor he’d heard had been true.
“Dad! Dad, please stop! It’s all a misunderstanding—!”
“You dare say something like that to my daughter before you’re even married?! And what was that—contract marriage?!”
He’d lost his wife and raised his only daughter with care and devotion. All he’d ever wanted was for her to be happy.
Yet this Cha Yu-geon bastard had apparently used his daughter’s feelings as leverage to propose a contract marriage.
“You used my daughter over some damn succession issue?! You piece of trash—I ought to beat you to death just to feel satisfied!”
Eyes bloodshot with rage, Pil-beom shook Yu-geon by the collar despite Ji-an’s attempts to stop him.
He’d disliked the guy from the start—this Cha Yu-geon with his absurdly excessive “preferences” in women.
That was why he’d vehemently opposed his daughter marrying him, first love or not.
Turns out his instincts had been right.
“…Father-in-law. Actually, all of this is my—”
“Shut it, you bastard! What do you think you’re doing, flapping that mouth of yours?! Divorce! You’re getting divorced! First I’m going to land a few punches—!”
Pil-beom raised his clenched fist.
He felt he wouldn’t be satisfied unless he beat the man who’d dared treat his precious daughter this way into a bloody pulp.
Meanwhile, Yu-geon—who was physically superior even to Pil-beom—could have shaken him off if he wanted.
But this was all his fault.
He had no intention of divorcing Ji-an now that he’d come to truly love her—but he understood Pil-beom’s anger as a father.
As if prepared to accept whatever punishment came his way, Yu-geon squeezed his eyes shut.
“Don’t—! Dad, please!”
The moment Pil-beom swung his fist, Ji-an’s scream echoed through the house.
* * *
Several months earlier.
“Esteemed executives and employees of CH Group, and all honored guests joining us today. On this meaningful occasion, we celebrate the 60th anniversary of CH Group’s founding—”
Cha Yu-geon’s refined voice echoed throughout the banquet hall.
The heir to CH Group and CEO of CH Construction, he was known as the crown prince of CH—trusted for his sharp insight and flawless execution.
With exceptional ability and striking good looks that lit up the room, he radiated overwhelming presence as he delivered the opening address.
People watched him with awe, as if gazing upon someone beyond reach.
Unaware that beneath his composed exterior, he was thinking—
Why does Eun Ji-an have to be so unnecessarily beautiful? I can’t even focus.
Because of his wife’s overwhelming beauty seated at one side of the hall.
Slender yet voluptuous, wearing an elegant beige gown, Eun Ji-an looked as though she belonged not at an awards ceremony, but in a temple where gods resided.
Large, clear, deer-like eyes. A delicate yet defined nose. Cherry-red lips.
And that small, pure face somehow holding all those features—it was almost unbelievable.
Yu-geon was truly—
I’m going insane.
Because he kept stealing glances at her.
He had work to focus on, yet Eun Ji-an kept hijacking his gaze.
Work. Business.
For a workaholic like Yu-geon, that was all that mattered.
Work was like a game to him—easy and enjoyable.
Surveying the board, making brilliant moves, efficiently clearing tasks one after another.
Before he knew it, he was always ahead of everyone else.
Women, by comparison, felt trivial.
He wasn’t someone who needed to marry up for advantage. If anything, women constantly demanded things from him and got in the way.
Yet he had ended up married for a reason.
“Yu-geon, you’re getting used to running the construction division. Isn’t it about time you got married?”
When his father, Chairman Cha Jong-hwan, began pressuring him like any other parent, blind date offers suddenly poured in.
Yu-geon resisted, but eventually gave in under the chairman’s relentless push and went on blind dates with a sour expression.
He still had no intention of marrying.
He merely wanted to exhaust his father into giving up.
What a waste of time.
Eventually, he devised a quick and efficient way to sabotage blind dates.
He hired a beautiful woman to crash them, pretending to be his girlfriend.
“Just act like my lover and ruin the date convincingly.”
“Understood. I once dreamed of becoming an actress, so I studied acting. I’ll make it natural—and definitive.”
She’d sounded confident.
And trustworthy.
Then—
“Yu-geon! What do you think you’re doing here?! With a woman shorter than me, wearing what—size 55 and a half? And with a long mid-face? Most of all—you said you liked women who were skinny but had naturally huge boobs! You said you could tolerate an empty head, but not an empty bra cup!”
When did I ever—?!
Was this her debut stage? Had she chosen my blind date to fulfill her unrealized acting dreams?
He’d expected to come off as trash, given the setup—but she turned him into absolute garbage.
And so began the spread of bizarre conditions required to qualify as Cha Yu-geon’s blind date.
What Yu-geon didn’t realize was what happened next.
Women in elite circles laughed over the blind date gossip—
“What is Cha Yu-geon even? He’s hilarious!”
But then—
“Honestly… I kind of get it.”
“You too? Same. I trashed him too, but let’s be real—he’s insanely handsome.”
“Exactly. And he’s the CH heir. If an average guy said that, he’d be ridiculous—but Cha Yu-geon? That’s different.”
Rather than resenting him, women began trying to appeal to his tastes.
“He likes natural C-cups or bigger.”
“Apparently D-cups minimum.”
“Brains don’t matter, but boobs have to be at least an E…”
Thanks in part to the hired woman’s looks, his fake preferences grew more exaggerated by the day.
By the time Yu-geon learned of the monstrous list attributed to him, he was stunned.
At first, he was furious.
Then—
Well… does it even matter?
He changed his perspective.
If he didn’t want to get married anyway, what difference did it make if people thought he was trash?
Better yet, women would eliminate themselves.
He continued hiring the woman, and blind date offers dwindled—until they disappeared entirely.
Life was peaceful.
Until a woman appeared claiming to meet all those insane conditions.
That woman was Eun Ji-an.
When he first saw her, he was flustered.
She looked like she’d stepped out of a master painter’s canvas.
Contrary to expectations, she looked up at him with innocent eyes.
She was just… too beautiful.
For the first time in his life, Yu-geon was struck speechless by a woman.
“W-well? It seems I meet all of your conditions, Mr. Cha Yu-geon…”
“….”
“Height, weight, facial features, sagging, calves, waist, a-and my chest too…”
As she rattled them off, blushing furiously, his head started to ache.
Pretty was pretty—but his bachelorism wasn’t something to be overturned by looks alone.
She was someone he had to reject.
Unfortunately, that day, the hired woman had been in an accident and never arrived.
Even if she had, it wouldn’t have mattered.
Ji-an was more beautiful in every way.
Left with no choice, Yu-geon spoke himself.
“Do you really want to marry that badly?”
“Yes. I… like you, Mr. Cha Yu-geon.”
Predictable.
He almost laughed.
And yet… it felt oddly good.
Clearing his throat, he continued.
“Every woman says that. What could you possibly know about me?”
“I…! You saved me—”
“Spare me the clichés. I’m curious—how far would you go for the man you like? Would you even try getting pregnant? Conveniently, we’re at a hotel.”
