Synopsis
Ariella, a tragic crown princess, was locked away in a tower for ten years simply because she was considered ugly.
Ultimately murdered by her tyrannical husband, she inexplicably regresses back to her very first night of marriage.
Though every fiber of her being yearns to flee the empire, her beloved family—who once perished at his hands—is still alive. Even if it means walking straight into the dragon’s jaws, she has no choice but to face it head-on.
She boldly makes a proposal to Crown Prince Dmitri, a demon of the battlefield and a living hell to all:
“I will turn Your Highness into an unprecedented, benevolent ruler.”
Dmitri lets out a hollow laugh, utterly flabbergasted. Undeterred, Ariella walks over to the window where he was sitting, stretching her arms toward the sky where the sunset casts its final glow.
“O little sun illuminating this empire so brightly. Please, allow me to stand by your side in that glorious place.”
She resolves to tame the ruthless tyrant. For just five years.
It was then that he grabbed Ariella’s chin, forcing her to face him.
“Don’t look anywhere else.” “Pardon?” “You should be looking at me. Since you like me.” “W-Well, of course I do, but surely I can look elsewhere for a…” “No.”
Pressing his finger firmly against the corner of her eyes, he stroked her skin. The mere touch sent her breath catching in her throat. His hand moved mercilessly, eventually trailing down to her slightly parted lips.
“You must look only at me. After all, it was with this tiny mouth of yours that you said you liked me and wanted to stay by my side.”
