Chapter 3
Sienna Liata. The powerful villainess of the game Victoryan Love.
She was a beauty with striking red hair and light green eyes, her features sharp and elegant.
Was she twenty this year? Or twenty-one?
Her cheeks, faintly flushed like a newly blooming rose, were flawless and smooth.
After applying all sorts of skincare products said to be good for the skin and gently massaging them in, it looked as if her face was glowing on its own.
Looking into the mirror, I lightly tapped the face that had now become mine.
Ah… even I have to admit it. I’m really pretty.
To think that this beautiful face was now mine. No matter how many times I looked in the mirror, I never got tired of it.
If only I weren’t going to die in 100 days, this would be perfect!
Ironically, that thought snapped me out of my trance as I stared into the mirror.
Right! I don’t have time to waste like this!
The time given to me was only 100 days.
No—since I already wasted a day, it was now 99 days.
It might seem like plenty of time, but escaping quickly wouldn’t be easy since I couldn’t freely choose my lines or actions.
I should go to Count Bohanan’s estate today.
With that thought, I finally tossed aside the lace slip.
After struggling with the maids to put on the uncomfortable corset and petticoat and then layering the dress on top, two attendants—who seemed different from the maids—came in holding a necklace and earrings.
They look like they’re higher rank.
Unlike the maids, they weren’t wearing uniforms but personal clothes, and the brooch pinned to their chests indicated they were ladies-in-waiting.
What stood out was that they didn’t say a single word to me.
Are they ignoring Sienna? Or are they deliberately being emotionless because she throws tantrums?
I was curious, but since I didn’t know what mistake I might make, I didn’t try talking to them.
I still haven’t sent a message announcing my visit.
Should I send one now?
After briefly considering it, I changed my mind.
Showing up without warning is more villainess-like anyway.
If the female protagonist happened to be at the Bohanan estate when I arrived, dragging her out would be nice too.
Of course, if I brought the heroine to the imperial palace, the game’s storyline might completely change.
Either way, I have to go to solve this.
Having finished getting ready, I confidently opened the door and stepped out into the corridor.
A system arrow showed me where to go, so I didn’t have to wander around awkwardly.
I lifted my head. A faint breeze brushed lightly against the back of my neck.
This must be a hot country.
I had guessed that much since they dressed me in such light, flowing gowns, but stepping outside confirmed it even more.
An open corridor like this… Unless it’s summer all year round, this design would be impossible.
It felt like I had traveled somewhere far away.
As I looked around curiously, I slightly frowned.
Ugh… but these shoes are so uncomfortable.
Was this Sienna’s usual preference?
The dress and accessories were put on without question. The same went for the shoes.
Even though I hadn’t chosen them, what they made me wear were dizzyingly high heels that felt like my ankles might snap.
She was already tall and slender—why did she even need heels?
I want to ask them to bring flats instead.
But if I said that, would a status window pop up saying something like, “A villainess does not wear flats”?
I sighed softly through my nose in frustration.
“Hmm?”
From the other end of the corridor, a tall man was walking toward me.
The reason I made that dumb sound was simple—he was unbelievably handsome.
Who is this guy? Can a living person really shine like that?
The man had soft golden hair.
His straight lips were firmly closed, and his indifferent red eyes were striking.
“……”
I stared at him, completely speechless.
So this is what happens when someone too handsome stands in front of you—you lose the ability to speak.
Why didn’t I remember someone this handsome?
This was practically male-lead-level beauty.
Don’t tell me the developers created someone this good-looking but didn’t make him a romance target? What were they thinking?
His face should have been on the front cover for advertisements.
He was that beautiful.
His appearance was so dazzling that the scenery around him felt blurred out.
As I stood there silently staring, he eventually reached me.
He politely took my hand and bowed.
“It is an honor to meet you, Princess Sienna.”
Even his voice—a perfect baritone—matched his appearance.
Before I could even react, his broad shoulders lowered gracefully—
Tap.
With a faint sound, a warm touch briefly brushed against the back of my hand before disappearing.
Aah! A hand kiss!
Was this the reason I got transmigrated into this game?
Why didn’t he appear in the prologue?! If he were the male lead, I would have enthusiastically pursued him!
But instead, Daniel Bohanan appeared first, which was why I had cursed so much.
And as a result, I ended up transmigrating into the villainess.
It’s unfair! Totally unfair!
While I was thinking that, the man slowly straightened up and met my eyes.
Then suddenly, he frowned.
“…?”
His face was so expressionless that it wasn’t obvious, but he definitely looked suspicious.
Why that expression? Did I do something wrong?
I hadn’t even said a word yet.
As I tilted my head in confusion, the man opened his mouth—
but the voice came from behind him.
“So you’ve caused quite a spectacle again today.”
The hostility in the voice directed at me was obvious.
Turning toward the sound, I frowned.
What is this squid doing here?
Standing there was a man with black hair and gray eyes—another dark-looking handsome man.
If he were alone, I might have thought he was good-looking.
But compared to the dazzling beauty I had just seen, he looked like nothing more than a squawking squid.
He looks familiar though.
I replied in a bored tone.
“You’re ugly, and your way of speaking is unpleasant too.”
And immediately after those words—
a strange silence swept over the three of us.
“…?”
“…?!!”
“!!”
The words I had only meant to think had come out of my mouth!
Startled, I opened and closed my lips.
Wait—why didn’t a choice option appear this time?
How could I make such a mistake in front of such a handsome man?
I awkwardly laughed, trying to recover.
“Hohoho, that was…”
Just as I was about to say I accidentally said that while thinking about something else—
▶ Sir Daniel, know your place.
▶ How dare you argue with me?
…Why are the dialogue options like this again?
Both of these are equally insane!
Is this really the best you can do?
System master, come out here and explain yourself!
While I was internally crying, I suddenly noticed something strange about the options.
Wait… Sir Daniel?
Daniel meant that guy.
The heroine’s first romance target.
Essentially the real male lead of this game.
Sienna’s fiancé.
Daniel Bohanan.
Now that I think about it… that does look like his face.
Because all the romance targets in Victoryan Love belonged to the Bohanan household, the opening scene was full of black-haired men.
But black hair wasn’t exactly special.
Koreans had black hair by default.
And since I hadn’t played very long, I hadn’t become familiar with their faces.
I think the graphics made him look more handsome though. Is this the difference between 2D and 3D?
While I blinked in thought, Daniel interpreted my silence as disregard.
His face twisted angrily.
“So now you won’t even treat your fiancé properly in front of others? Fine. I’d rather not hear the sickening greetings of a disgusting woman like you anyway—it makes me want to vomit.”
What?!
That’s way too harsh.
I didn’t know much about the relationship between the villainess and this man.
But I don’t deserve to be insulted like this to my face!
After all—
“Is that something a man who’s playing around with another woman despite having a fiancée should say?”
You’re the real scumbag—at least when it comes to the villainess!
The moment I thought that, Daniel’s face turned bright red.
He shouted furiously.
“What do you mean by that?! Are you trying to damage my reputation right now?!”
“…!!”
And thanks to that, I realized something else.
I only meant to think that—but it came out again!
The restrictions on dialogue seemed to follow some kind of pattern.
Considering how many games I had cleared in my life, I recognized the moment when choices disappeared and my voice suddenly spoke freely.
There was a pattern to the dialogue in this game.
The god said I was the villainess of this game.
I sank into serious thought.
The god also said that if I strayed from my identity as the villainess, my very existence might be erased.
And in reality, my actions have been restricted by choices. But after meeting Daniel, several thoughts I meant to keep in my head slipped out as spoken lines.
There was definitely a rule.
The problem was figuring out what that rule was.
I frowned, groaning quietly.
If I just think a little more, I might figure it out…
“Answer me, Princess! I asked if you’re insulting your fiancé!”
Unfortunately, the situation didn’t give me time to think.
Why is this man so noisy?
“What did you just say?”
Ah.
That thought slipped out again.
This is driving me insane.
Just as I started thinking that even if I escaped the bad ending, I might die of frustration afterward—
“Princess Sienna.”
A cold voice, slithering like a snake, quietly echoed through the corridor.
“His Majesty is summoning you.”
A lady-in-waiting with an expressionless face spoke.
